Achievements

 

·         Implementation of the TEY Breaker modification consisting of a 20% reduction in the contact area (made of silver) that resulted in $107K annual savings.

·         Implementation of the Trip Unit Standardization Project, which resulted in:  $60K annual savings, increase flexibility/response time of the welding area, and the elimination of various fabrication dies.

·         Provide technical support to the welding efficiency project; represented the team in the Island Green Belt competition of all GE sites.

·         Improved the calibration efficiency of the TED Breakers from 72 to 90%.

·         Commenced a process of analyzing inspection and historical data with a view to reducing physical incoming inspection. This analysis led to the reduction of the incoming inspection process by 70% through the development and implementation of a new sampling plan and qualifying vendors and suppliers.
