Major Professional Accomplishments

·         ISO Audits are conducted twice yearly.  Auditors identified that Internal Audits Certification Requirements were not being properly documented.  Designed and implemented a Quality Audit Plan for the Conversion Kits and Shop Order areas.  Internal Audit results were discussed and evaluated to put into practice the findings, and data was also entered into the Quality Management System.  This helped to identify and correct defects prior to the assembly process thereby eliminating problems at the root level.

·         A need was identified to evaluate the quality of the breakers being received prior to formal assembly.  No yield factor was available to determine extent of rejects and take the precautionary steps to correct these.  Developed and monitored process control yield for RMS (Breaker Programmer) area, augmenting production visibility by 100%.

·         The plant’s process flow needed to be stabilized.  Assigned to work on the Final Qualification area.  Effected measures such as Time Studies, Identified Product Rework %, Repair Time Estimates, Lay Out Studies, among others.  Made recommendations to purchase equipment, change layout and conduct process defragmentation.  Improved Workflow on Final Qualification area by reducing cycle by 56% and significantly reduced bottlenecks.

·         As part of the GE constant mindset to avoid adding product cost and maximize product cost reduction, developed, implemented and followed through Cost-Out Projects rendering $44K annual savings.

·         Green Belt Certification required the implementation of various Six Sigma Projects for a total savings of $56K in a one-year period.  Improved an Assembly Process reducing warranty costs by $6K.  Evaluated a testing process and reduced its cycle time by 60%, reduced one headcount, incremented testing output, and reduced overtime for a savings of $50K.

·         As Team Facilitator evaluated, submitted, and implemented EHS Projects contributing to the Plant’s “A” rating.

·         In preparation for the opening of Hotel, contributed in the development and completion of “Punch Lists” for common areas, rooms, casino, etc.  Hotel was able to commence operations within established timeframe.
